"Show Hidden Files Error" Solution

Do your PC become nuts when you want to see your hidden files? When you click "Show Hidden Files" in the "Folder Option", then you click "Apply", does it become "Do Not Show Hidden Files" back?

You should not worry anymore, since I will post the solution I get from Kioskea.net Forum.

  1. Go to Start > Run, then type Regedit.
  2. Navigate the registry folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  3. Click SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > Advanced > Folder > Hidden > SHOWALL
  4. Find a key called CheckedValue.
  5. Double click CheckedValue key and modify it to 1. (This is to show all the hidden files.
  6. Exit Regedit.
  7. Go to My Computer > Local Disk C.
  8. Then Tools > Folder Options > View > Hidden files and folders.
  9. Click Show hidden files and folders, then click Apply > OK.
  10. Have fun with your hidden file. Har har har :D
