On 24th November 2007, at last, the long awaited MYHC Fest (Malaysian Hardcore Fest), the best hardcore show ever, taking place at MCPA Hall, near Maharajalela Monorail Station. The show consists of 15 bands around the country. “us” arrived around 1.30 PM. The show started at exactly 3 PM, not on time though.
The opening band, FORSAKEN, is awesome!! They sound a lot like old AS I LAY DYING. The crowds are screaming and body slamming everywhere. The best opening act ever! “us” don’t remember what songs they are playing since their performance makes “us” forget everything. =p
Next band is, LOL, “us” don’t even remember what band is next. OK, “us” will review the remaining, hrm, about 6 bands that “us” saw. LOVE ME BUTCH, plays their “Reconcile”, “Stumble Upon A Glass”, “Dream Of My Own” and 1 old songs. Plus they play their 1 new song for the upcoming album. Duh, new song are freaking awesome!! “us” can’t wait for their new album next year.
Then come THE RHAMAN, makes the crowds chill for a little with their songs, “Encik Obses”, “Pusing Sana Pusing Sini”, “Macam Bagus” & “Pandangan Orang Ke-3”. After that CASSANDRA come with their new line up. 3 new songs and 2 old songs, “Dying Tulips Are Grand” and “New Track On Suicide Hotline”.
SECOND COMBAT dominates all the show that day, with “Worth To Redeem”, “Infidelity”, “Second Combat” and “Striving To Deny You”. Long awaited RESTRAINT and the last band for that day, plays “Pure From Blood”, “This Promise”, “Stand Strong” and 3 more songs.
